The Spring Glen Garden Club, which was established 100 years ago this month, has been growing an herb garden since 1991 at the Jonathan Dickerman House at 105 Mt. Carmel Ave. in Hamden, across from Sleeping Giant Park. The house will be open for tours this summer beginning July 6 on Sundays from 1-4pm. Club members are growing herbs that might have been grown by families in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s, there will be a handout on what the herbs would have been used for during these years. Plan on stopping by sometime this summer!

The Spring Glen Garden Club accepts members from all over Connecticut, all is asked that people are interested in civic beautification, gardening, horticulture and floral design.
