Town: Hamden Golf Course Operator Owes Thousands
Town officials: Laurel View Country Club's operator is overdue on thousands of dollars of unpaid bills.
HAMDEN--The future of the town's Laurel View Country Club is looking a little less bright.
Town officials say that the current operator of the town-owned golf course is behind on thousands of dollars of bills and fees, The New Haven Register reports.
The town-owned golf course is operated by Matthew Menchetti, who has operated the golf course for the past 16 years, The New Haven Register reports.

Town officials have sent Menchettis a notice of default for not paying $80,000 for a water bill and $24, 878 for rent, late fees and interest for the months of October, November and December 2015, The Register reports. He also owes more than $129K total for the unpaid water, sewer, electric, propane, gas and security bills.
