Veterans Day Closures Announced For Town Of Hamden
Officials announce the schedule for town buildings, and details on the town's Veterans Day Ceremony.

HAMDEN, CT — Town officials are reminding residents and staff of the following holiday information.

The Town of Hamden and Hamden’s Veterans Commission cordially invites residents to this year’s Veterans Day Ceremony to join Town Officials on Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. in the Legislative Council Chambers at Memorial Town Hall, located at 2372 Whitney Avenue, Hamden CT 06518. Parking is available at 2900 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518.
Veterans’ organizations will lay wreaths at the Veterans Monument. The Hamden Veterans Commission Youth Timeline Unit will provide the Honor Guard for the ceremony.

The Town and Hamden’s Veterans Commission look forward to a great attendance as we honor the heroes who have undertaken truly profound personal sacrifices in order to preserve the rights and freedoms of our great nation. Please join us as we show our gratitude towards each veteran whose service gave us the freedoms we hold and enjoy every day.
Town Offices Closed
Town offices and buildings, including Government Center, Keefe Community Center, all Hamden Public Library buildings, and the Hamden Transfer Station, will be closed Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Miller Memorial Library will be open Saturday, Nov. 9. The library’s digital branch is available 24/7. All town offices and buildings will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at their regularly scheduled hours.
Trash and recycling pick-up will not be affected by this holiday.
