Farmington School Official To Lead Prominent Hartford Women's Club

The prominent Hartford organization is celebrating its 100th birthday.

HARTFORD/FARMINGTON, CT — A Farmington woman has been named the new president of a prominent women's club in Hartford that is celebrating a major milestone.

The Town & County Club, located at 22 Woodland St., Hartford, recently announced the election of Farmington resident Ellen Siuta as the club’s next president.

According to the club, she has experience in community service and activism, as the club is celebrating its centennial year.

“Mrs. Siuta has been an involved and committed club member,” said Jenny Holland, chair of the nominating committee. “And she recognizes the important role the Town & County Club plays in the lives of its members and as a premier connection point for interesting and accomplished women in the greater Hartford area.”

According to the club, Siuta has been an active member of the Town & County Club since joining three years ago.

She has served on the club's personnel committee and as chair of the community
engagement committee.

Siuta has spent many years volunteering in her children’s schools in Farmington.

She founded and led a town budget advocacy group for over seven years and served on the
Farmington Board of Education for 13 years, the last two of which she served as chairperson.

The Town & County Club is an inclusive private women’s club where women connect through enriching social, educational, and community service experiences.
