3. I smell a (Grand)Father’s Day gift! The DEEP is offering free, lifetime passes to state parks for veterans with a service-related disability who are Connecticut residents. Among other ways, these passes can get the pass-holder and fellow passengers into parks that charge and entry fee by the carload, like Harkness Memorial State Park. If you help someone get this pass, it could pay off in more free babysitting :) Check the DEEPs website for details on how to obtain a pass.

4. Get fit and support a great cause Sunday, June 10th for a to benefit the American Cancer Society. Fit for a Cure is charging $10 for one class or $15 for the whole day and instructors are lined up from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for Kickboxing, Jazzercise, Zumba and Yoga. The classes will be held at the former Gales Ferry School.
