Daily Five: Internship Available And It’s National Jerky Day!

2. The Ledge Light Health District Harry A. Watson summer internship applications are now available in the LHS career center.  Interns will have the opportunity to have a “hands-on” experience in a variety of public health activities performed by district staff.  It’s a paid 25-hour a week internship offered to junior and senior high school students.  The deadline for this application is Friday, June 15.

Today is the inaugural National Jerky Day and proponents of all kinds of jerky will be “celebrating the rich history, immense popularity and nutritional benefits of dried meat snacks,” according to the Sacramento Bee.
