Five things to know on Wednesday, March 28.

1. According to NOAA.gov, today there is “a chance of showers, mainly after noon, mostly cloudy, with a high near 52,” and tonight there is a “chance of showers, mainly between 2a.m. and 4a.m. mostly cloudy, with a low around 42.”
2. Director Don Grise posted a comment on the Ledyard Patch to remind people of the New York City bus trip on May 5. The trip is a good deal at $46 and people can find out more by calling the office checking www.ledyardrec.org.

3. And, tonight is the last of this month’s Stitch and Dish. It’s at the from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The library’s website says the knitting group is for new and veteran "stitchers" alike. “Whether you're a beginner or a devoted knitter already, you're welcome to join us! The "dish" is for talking, but if you'd like to bring a treat to share, that's fine, too! We hope this new group will be both supportive and fun.”

4. If this weekend is rainy, think about going to tag and bake sale coming this weekend at the Ledyard Congregational Church from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
5. There’s a public hearing tonight about a new ordinance, which would create a water pollution and control authority in Ledyard. Currently, the town council acts as the WPCA. What are your thoughts?
