Daily Five: LHS Coffeehouse Appearing At Ledyard Fair

1.Tomorrow there’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., but mostly sunny, with a high near 78, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, there’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m. and it’ll be mostly cloudy, with a low around 56.

And for those of us who did not have the pleasure of attending LHS Coffeehouse where students displayed their musical talents among other things, the coffeehouse will hold a special session at the Ledyard Fair. Ledyard students will perform for the public on Sept. 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. during the fair.

4. Did you know the town has 125 ordinances? The Town Clerk’s office and Town Councilor Sean Sullivan are advocating an electronic reference of all the town’s ordinances, active or not.

5. When was the last time you gave blood? Giving blood saves lives and there’s a blood drive Monday at 1 p.m. at St. David’s.
