Daily Five: Music Recital, Donate To Youth Group Yard Sale
Five things to know on Monday, April 16.

1. Ok wow, NOAA.gov has forecast some nice weather today if you like clear skies and a high near 86. Tonight is supposed to be “mostly clear, with a low around 56.”
2. Mayor John Rodolico has requested the Permanent Municipal Building Committee take the lead and find the best location for the police department. Their options so far are to determine costs to stay where they are in the short and long term; to find an existing building that is suitable or build a new one. The committee will meets tomorrow at 5:30.

3. If all that spring cleaning has resulted in a pile of stuff to donate, this is your lucky week. You can donate stuff to the and help them raise funds for a youth group trip. Donations will be accepted Thursday and Friday, the yard sale is Saturday. Call 860-572-7915 to make sure the church will be open before you drop off.
4. On Thursday, the Ledyard High School Music Department will present their featuring many of the schools vocal and instrumental ensembles at the Gales Ferry Methodist Church at 7:30. Jazz Band, Ledyard Saxes and Winds, Final Cut, Acabellas, Premier and Voice Male are some of the scheduled performances.
