Daily Five: Parking Ban In Effect

Five things to know on Thursday, April 26.

 

1. Today is forecast to be a bit wet. Showers are likely, mainly after 5pm, according to NOAA.gov, with increasing clouds and a high near 59. Tonight will have scattered showers throughout the night then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 46.

2. Scholarships for summer playground are now available through the Parks and Recreation Department. The website says registration forms are available at the office or to print from website. Drop off registration forms to Doris in  Social Services, which is located in bottom floor of Town Hall. Call if you have any questions.

4. The new WPCA has settled on meeting the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. Michael Cherry is the chairman of the water authority.

5. The town will soon begin to enforce the no parking bans on Greystone Court and Gallup Hill Road, said Mayor John Rodolico, who cited safety issues.
