This building has an old, fading sign in front which states that it's the Commerce Building and it lists the Chamber of Commerce, a bank and some other businesses as previous occupants. Of course, they're long gone by now.
I was told by Susan Howard of U.S. Properties that the building has been empty for at least two years ago when she got the listing. Howard said it is zoned for mixed-commercial use, is 10,325 square feet and is listed for $590,000. It's located on Route 12 and Kings Highway.
The building has plenty of room for parking and still has a nifty drive-up window that was probably used by the bank. Do you think this would be a good spot for a group of small businesses to invest in? Or, do you think a chain restaurant should request a zone change and open a location here? What about a book and coffee shop?
