1. The new owners of in Ledyard Center are inviting the public to stop in for a visit and taste wines from Stonington Vineyard from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 tonight.  

2. Mayor John Rodolico is presenting a proclamation to Chief Culinary Specialist Daniel Spencer for his heroic acts on the night of Jan. 18, when he helped two people to safety after their cars collided. The ceremony will be held at the Naval Submarine Base in Groton, where Spencer is stationed. The proclamation reads that Chief Culinary Specialist Daniel Spencer “shall hold and enjoy a place of high esteem in the minds and hearts of the people of The Town of Ledyard.” 

3. A new business opens Saturday in Gales Ferry. Drop in and see what has to offer. They open at 10 a.m.
