Goodwin College released a press release to announce that Linda Dierman has completed the Nursing Program, joining a prestigious group of future nurses who have graduated from Connecticut's largest program.
Dierman is a resident of Ledyard and received her Goodwin Nursing pin during a ceremony held on Thursday, April 18, according to the release. The College hosts a pinning ceremony for each graduating class, marking the beginning of many successful nursing careers.
Each graduate lit a candle and recited an oath in the example of Florence Nightingale, the pioneering "Lady With the Lamp" who set the nursing standards that all graduates of the Goodwin program aspire to follow.
