K9 Search And Rescue Exercise Will Be Saturday
Residents around Meetinghouse Lane and Shewville Road might see some extra dogs in the neighborhood.

On Sat. June 9, the Ledyard Police Department will be conducting a working exercise with the Connecticut Canine Search & Rescue organization between 8 a.m and 4p.m. said Ledyard Police Lt. Michael Finkelstein in a press release.
This exercise will occur in the area between Meetinghouse Lane and the Highland Lake on Shewville Road and the exercise will involve the use of multiple K9 teams, he said.
Finkelsteing wanted to make residents aware of the exercise and and said, "residents who observe this should not be concerned that an active incident is talking place."
