Ledyard Farmers Market Taking Place This Weekend

The market meets every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Ledyard Winter Farmers Market will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Gales Ferry Landing, 7 Hurlbutt Rd., behind the CVS on Route 12.

Organizers released the following list of vendors and descriptions.

VEGGIES: Fill your bags with gorgeous root veggies, sauerkraut, salsas and jams from Hidden Brook Gardens, and gorgeous greens from Upper Pond Farm!

MEATS & DAIRY: You’ve got a great variety of meats to choose from this week: humanely raised pork from our friends at Secchiaroli Farm, beautiful cuts of lamb from Aries Crossing, and pasture raised beef and chicken from Brookside Cattle.

Don’t forget to rinse and return those gorgeous glass bottles to Buttercup Farm so you can get your weekly raw milk fix! And Meadow Stone Farm is bringing their lovely European-style cow and goat milk cheeses.

BAKED GOODS: Visit Bread n’ Cookies for sandwich breads, pound cakes, and cookies to pack in this week’s lunches, and Lucky Girl Bakery will be bringing pies, quiche, brownies (they’re back!) and confections.

Don’t forget your furry friends! Walk By Faith will be joining the market with wholesome, handmade treats for your dogs, cats and horses!

HANDMADE: Burly Stone returns to the market with big, beautiful bars of soap, beard oil, solid colognes and more. Stop by Mark’s Woodworks to peruse his selection of gorgeous cutting boards and wood housewares--he’s currently taking custom orders for graduation gifts!

A&L Organics makes their debut appearance at Ledyard to bring you their lovely handmade skincare line--it’s amazing. Sea Uniquely is also joining us with their one of a kind silver & sea glass jewelry--gift worthy, indeed.
AND MORE: Anastasia’s Coffee will have a hot pot on for you to enjoy at the market, as well as bags of their beautiful beans and artisan chocolates to bring home! Dragon’s Blood Elixir returns with their spicy Unique Destiny line (stock up!)
