Ledyard Poet Now a National Poet

No more roses are red and violets are blue, the sky's the limit for you know who!

Ledyard High School Poet Laureate Joe Rosen's poem "Healthy" was selected for national publication in the Voice of Youth Advocates publication VOYA. The poem was published in the April 2013 edition. 

Rosen was one of five high school winner out of 91 entries, which was open to students across the country. 

Rosen is a senior at Ledyard High School and is the son of Maria Locoi and Jason Rosen. Among other things, Joe is taking AP/UConn ECE English and is doing an independent study in poetry this semester.

VOYA magazine is a leading library journal that promotes young adult literature and reading, according to Ledyard High School teacher Barbara Park.
