New Growth at Sprigs and Twigs

The landscaping company greets the new season with a new building and more potential.

Sprigs and Twigs opened the doors to its newest addition Saturday afternoon. Their new property on Baldwin Hill Road will primarily be used for storage for their expanding business.

Linda and Bill Lillie own the landscaping company, which began in an attic 17 years ago although now the business is firmly grounded.

Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut CEO Tony Sheriden said 90 percent of the jobs in the US are provided by small businesses and that Sprigs and Twigs is a shining example. Mayor John Rodolico thanked the Lillies for building in Ledyard and investing in Ledyard.

Their groundbreaking was in August 2012 and and about four months later the lot was cleared and the building was ready. Saturday's groundbreaking marked the beginning of a new season and a new start for Sprigs and Twigs.
