UPDATED: Lifestar Flies One To Rhode Island After Rollover [with VIDEO]

Lifestar left with one 21-year-old female patient.

 

One 21-year-old female patient was transported via Lifestar to Rhode Island Hospital after a one-car rollover on Pumpkin Hill Road around 11 a.m. Friday.

Jessica Houde, 21, of 38 Meetinghouse Lane in Ledyard was transported to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence by Life Star.

Ledyard Fire Company #1 wrote on Facebook, that they were dispatched to a "one car roll-over motor vehicle accident with fire and entrapment."

Ledyard Police Lt. Michael Finkelstein said Houde's injuries do not appear to be life threatening but she was transported due to a prolonged extraction.

Pumpkin Hill Road is closed between Gallup Hill Road and Lambtown Road and will likely open before around 1 p.m.

The driver was the sole occupant and she was driving a green Jeep 4x4 south on Pumpkin Hill Road.

The cause of this accident remains under investigation by the Ledyard Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team.

Ledyard Fire Department, Gales Ferry Volunteer Fire Company, Ledyard Volunteer Emergency Services, Lifestar, Ledyard Police Department,  Pequot Paramedics, Oldy Mystic Fire Department, and Connecticut State Police Troop E responded.
