Police Blotter: DUI, Larceny, Threatening

The following arrests were recorded at the Connecticut State Police Troop E in Montville. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all are innocent until proven guilty.

March 22

At 6:59 p.m., police arrested Scott J. Ball, 35, of 44 Fletcher Road, Enfield, and charged him with speeding, and driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He was assessed a $500 bond and given an April 5 court date. The arrest came at a traffic stop on Route 2 near Foxwoods.

At 10:54 p.m., police arrested Martin Matheson, 41, of 62 Pine Island in Groton, and charged him with breach of peace and second-degree threatening on an outstanding arrest warrant during a traffic stop, on Sandy Hollow Road according to the police report. He was released on a promise to appear and given an April 6 court date.

At 7:36 p.m. police arrested an un-named suspect who was found in the residence of Claudia Duffy, 61, of 351 Shewville Road. The accused was found in violation of a protective order and arrested without incident. The accused was assessed $25,000 bond and given a March 26 court date. 

March 24

At 6:35 p.m. police arrested Ricky D. Avery, 43, of 1920 Center Groton Road, on an active warrant and charged him with third-degree larceny. Avery was assessed a $500 non-surety bond and given an April 6 court date.
