Readers' Choice Winner: Jim Austin Is Favorite Tax Preparer

Ledyard Patch readers must be buried under their own pile of taxes or have blocked the experience out of their recent memory because few people nominated a local tax preparer.

A few people submitted nominations and a majority like Jim Austin as the best tax preparer around.

Beth Ayer wrote, "Jim Austin has been doing our returns for years and he is great. Knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. Our returns are complicated because they inlcude income from several states as well as some family stuff and he is extremely meticulous.

Austin captured two nominations.
