Readers' Choice: Winner Of Best Dessert

There was no consensus on what the best dessert in Ledyard and Gales Ferry might be there was certainly an overwhelming cheer for many of the fresh, handmade treats at .

Patch reader Courtnay Allyn said, "Felicia's buttercream filled gingersnaps, cinnamon biscuits with orange glaze, tiramisu, truffles...and yes, soups and sandwiches...and it's such a cute place with such a friendly staff!"

The local eatery received seven nominations for it's many tasty treats like almond cake, apple strudel, buttercream gingersnaps, red velvet cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes and my personal favorite, the buttercream filled gingersnaps, but Felicia's carrot cake took top mention.

Patch reader Sheri Throop advised readers to, "try just about anything at Felicia's Sweet Face Pastry Shop in Gales Ferry (RTE 12 Across from Barry Drive) but the chocolate mousse in the tulip cup is a special favorite."

Runners up include the tiramisu at , dessert pizzas at and a couple people reminded us of the fundraiser, an event which provides comic entertainment served with an array of desserts.
