Readers Want You To Take Them To Stonecroft

The secluded and rustic restaurant is the Readers' Choice winner for where to go when someone else is paying.

Brunch, lunch or dinner at Tradewinds, the restaurant at is delicious but it’s even better when someone else is picking up the tab. The restaurant, which is situated among blooming flowers and a sprawling scenic country vista, is the winner of this week's Readers' Choice for best restaurant to go to when someone else pays.

Stonecroft kept a healthy lead throughout the voting process because evidently its reputation preceeds itself.

Pamela Ripley Ensley wrote on Facebook, "I chose Stonecroft Inn because I've never been but if someone is paying I'd love to try it. I've only heard great things about it. I live close to Fireside and Mo's so can go there any time."

One Ledyard Patch User seemed to know exactly what to expect. Gloria Moniz wrote, "Stonecroft absolutely."

When we asked for your nominations for the best restaurant to eat at on someone else’s dime suggestions only a few crumbs came our way but when the voting started, it quickly became a food fight.

Stonecroft Country Inn won by capturing 37 percent of the vote.

Congratulations to the chef and staff at Tradewinds at Stonecroft Country Inn and thank you to everyone who participated by voting and commenting.
