Stray, Feral Cat Fundraiser in Ledyard Raises $1,350

Donations may be sent to Ledyard CHAIN, to help improve the lives of the stay and feral cats in Ledyard and Gales Ferry.

Ledyard CHAIN Inc organized an online fundraiser to help spay and neuter stray cats in Ledyard and Gales Ferry, after a shortage of funds.

“We have covered the costs for 25 spays and neuters this fall so we are very low on funds,” Ledyard CHAIN said on its fundraising page. “Every dollar can help.”

Ledyard CHAIN created the fundraiser to assist with the spaying and neutering of a family of cats — a mother, a father and their six kittens, who are approximately four months old.

“We want to get this done before the cold sets in and to be sure that these younger ones do not start multiplying themselves,” Ledyard CHAIN said.

Donations may be sent via the fundraising page or checks may be mailed to 2 Village Dr., Ledyard, CT 06339, with “Oliver Project” in the memo.
