MASHANTUCKET, CT — A man is accused of restraining two people in a Foxwoods hotel room in an incident that drew a heavy police response Monday morning, according to WTNH News-8.

Police responded to a call at 6:27 a.m. on the 16th floor of the Fox Tower Hotel. After hours of police presence, the incident was announced "safely resolved" at 2:20 p.m., according to WTNH News-8.

There was a large police response from tribal and state police along with authorities from nearby towns.

David R. Griswold, 40, of East Windsor, was charged with two counts of criminal attempt of assault, two counts of unlawful restraint, breach of peace, interfering with an officer, two counts of reckless endangerment, and carrying a pistol or revolver under the influence of alcohol/drugs, NBC CT reported.

He was held on a $1 million bond and scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

A Foxwoods official thanked authorities for resolving the situation and said that normal operations at the property have resumed.
