WFSB is reporting that Lori Beyus, who escaped from Niantic's York Correctional Institution Sunday morning, has been captured. No further information about her capture was immediately available.

A press release from the Department of Corrections:

A full-scale search is underway for a female inmate who escaped from the York Correctional Institution in Niantic early Sunday morning. 

At approximately 6:16 a.m. today, the facility was placed in lock-down and an emergency count was ordered when correctional officers reported that an inmate was missing during breakfast in the facility dining hall. The offender, identified as Lori Beyus, #347491, age 49, is from Torrington. 

Beyus last entered the system on Nov. 2, 2012 as a temporary surrender for the charge of second-degree robbery. She is currently serving a 51-month sentence.

Prisoner escape. Today an inmate walked off the prison grounds. Her name is Lori Beyus. She is a 5'7'', 180 lbs white female with brown hair, brown eyes.
