VIDEO: A Pile Of Puppies And A Pig

The six Corgi puppies are spoken for but are you interested in a pig or Plott Hound?

The has seen a lot of visitors lately but mostly by people hoping to sneak a peak at the six Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies  delivered by Animal Control Officer Kimlyn Marshall eight weeks ago.

“This week will be bittersweet,” she said because the puppies will be in their new homes by the end of the weekend. “I’m going to miss them.”

Marshall said someone surrendered the puppies' Corgi mother and father days before the puppies were ready to be born. The father was adopted immediately, the mother was also adopted into a home with another female Corgi and it wasn’t hard to find six people willing to adopt the newborns.

Marshall has plenty of animals to keep her company, however, including:

  • Beans, a small, white, furry pig with black spots.
  • Mabel is a four-year-old female Plott Hound who would like an active home. She is up-to-date on all her shots and spayed.
  • Tazz is a six-year-old bishon who is neutered and a little shy until he gets to know you.

The Ledyard Animal Control office is open Monday through Sunday , 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Call 860-464-9621 for more information or check out the Ledyard Animal Control's Facebook page.
