VIDEO: This Little Piggy Has a Farm
Ledyard's Full Heart Farm adds pigs to its growing family even if only temporarily : (

Full Heart Farm got some cute and, unfortunately for them, temporary guests. Farmer Allyson Angelini, who has owned and run the farm since last spring purchased eight Yorkshire/Duroc-cross piglets, all brothers and sisters, to add to her growing farm.
The cute little pink, red and orange-ish piglets are just over three months old and in another three and half months will reach a weight of 250 pounds, she said.
According to Angelini, when the piglets reach about nine to 10 months of age, they will be brought to market and from there they will be offered for sale as a variety of pork products to her membershare participants.
There are a few membershare spots left, if you care to join. Full Heart Farm also announced recently that they are planting a blueberry patch on the property and they are selling canvas tote bags in an effort to raise funds for the patch. Angelini said buying a tote bag ensures that you'll have a reuseable bag and that you'll see lots of blueberrys at this summer's farm market.
