• Donate blood at the Ledyard Lions Club Blood Drive from 1:30 to 6 p.m.
• Get married for free at the Olde Mistick Village during their annual ‘get married on Valentine’s Day’ promotion.
• There's a Valentine's Family night at the Gales Ferry Community Center. Kids come make a Valentine's card for someone you love, decorate a Valentine cookie, play some games and, or watch a movie. A live performance by Gales Ferry's one and only Tony Costa, internationally known strolling musician and vocalist will be singing at 7 pm.
• Tony n' Tina's Wedding is playing in Groton this weekend.

As you know it wouldn't be Valentine's Day without chocolate! Felicia's SweetFace Pastry Shoppe is handrolling truffles and personalizing cookies, chocolate and red velvet cakes today through Saturday.

And, since Thursday's not always the most convenient night to go out, you can always order a meal to take home tonight from Valentino's and go out to Maugle Sierra's wine and chocolate dinner Friday night.

But, if you single you are more than welcome to drop into any of these businesses and splurge on yourself. It's a great time to go out with friends and/or do exactly what you want to do.
