Today’s the first day of a class offered by Pastor Mary Canavan of St. David’s Episcopal Church Pastor on the books left out of the bible. The Gnostic books include the Gospel of Thomas and Philip, The Secret Book of John, the Gospel of Judas and the Gospel of Mary, plus some more.
Canavan said she’ll explore the non-canonical texts and how the Church decided which books to include and exclude.
