Celebrate the turning of the year with Crescendo’s radiant New Year’s Concert, featuring the extraordinary artistry of violinist Edson Scheid and harpsichordist Christine Gevert. Together, they bring to life the brilliant music of Baroque composer Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, a pioneering and visionary figure of the French Baroque.
This program showcases the elegance, virtuosity, and expressive depth of Jacquet de La Guerre’s works, illuminated through Edson’s captivating violin performance and Christine’s inspired continuo playing. A shimmering and intimate musical experience — the perfect way to welcome the New Year.
