22nd Annual Madison Top Dog Contest Winner Announced

MADISON, CT — Winnie Rose Grosso, a four-year-old caramel tuxedo mini Australian Labradoodle, was named Madison'sTop Dog for 2025-26, the 22nd year of the contest.

The honor of drawing the Top Dog's name was given to Fire Chief Mike Penders, in honor of the North Madison Fire Department’s 100th Anniversary, according to the Town Clerk’s Office.

Winnie is devoted to her people and everyone who comes to care for her, according to officials. Her favorite time of the day is when she goes outside to play fetch with her tennis ball or frisbee. She whines with joy in anticipation!

Additionally, Winnie loves to play tug and chase inside with her humans and snuggle with them in the evening. She is such a good girl.
