3 New Varsity Head Coaches Hired At Daniel Hand High School

Athletic Director Chris Farrell said the coaches understand the importance of building positive, cohesive, competitive teams.

MADISON, CT — Daniel Hand High School has appointed three new coaches for Varsity Boy's Ice Hockey, Boys’ Soccer and Girls' Volleyball programs.

Through a news release, Chris Farrell, Director of Athletics at Daniel Hand High School, announced the appointment of Dante Tomassini as Head Varsity Coach for Boys' Ice Hockey, Mike Shirley as Head Varsity Coach for Boys' Soccer and Jennifer Aguzzi as Head Varsity Coach for Girls Volleyball.

“All of our coaches will undoubtedly positively impact our programs and help our student-athletes reach their maximum potential,” Farrell stated.

Tomassini is a former collegiate ice hockey player and honed his coaching skills as a collegiate coach at his alma mater. Shirley is an alumnus of Daniel Hand and has previously served as an assistant coach in the boys’ soccer program. Aguzzi is a current Daniel Hand teaching staff member and has years of coaching, experience, and a track record of building positive team environments that allow all student-athletes to strive.

“The coaches come into their respective positions with a wealth of knowledge and passion for fostering success,” Farrell stated.
