$390,000 Winning Lottery Ticket Won By Madison Resident

The lucky ticket was sold in Guilford, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

MADISON, CT — An unnamed Madison resident is $390,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased in Guilford, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Thursday, the person claimed a winning Lucky for Life ticket that had been bought at the Big Y on Boston Post Road.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $2 per ticket, gives winners an option of taking an annual annuity or lump sum prize.

In this case, the winner matched five numbers and could either take $25,000 per year, or a lump sum of $390,000, which is the second-place prize. The grand prize is $365,000 per year, or a lump sum of $5,750,000.

Overall odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 30,821,472; the odds of winning the second-place prize are 1,813,028.
