Additional Natural Gas Leaks Found In Madison: Officials

Repairs are being made, according to officials.

MADISON, CT — Southern Connecticut Gas discovered more natural gas leaks in Madison as a result of downed power lines from the past weekend, though the discovery will not lead to service interruptions, according to town officials.

"The gas company has determined it will replace the damaged 3,000 foot gas line from Route 79 to approximately 127 Overbrook Road," officials said on Tuesday.

While service will not be interrupted, Overbrook Road will remain closed to through traffic for approximately two weeks for repairs and servicing, though residents will still have access.
