All Madison Public Schools Receive State Recognition

MADISON, CT — Madison Public Schools has been named Schools of Distinction by the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) Next Generation Accountability System.

“This report validates what families and the community of Madison already know, that Madison Public Schools is a high performing district that cares deeply about the success of each of its students not just academically but socially and emotionally as well,” Dr. Craig Cooke, superintendent of schools, said.

Madison Public Schools said it prides itself on the exemplary education opportunity it provides to every student daily. The high caliber teaching and learning that happens in classrooms prepare students to be productive members of an ever-changing society, utilizing their profile of a graduate throughout their system.

Madison Public Schools said school staff bring their focus and attention to improving teaching and learning daily. The district’s long history of academics needs no validation, but they are pleased with the recognition.

“This is not possible without the support of the Board of Education and the hard work of exceptional, talented staff,” Cooke said.

Madison Public Schools said to its knowledge Madison is the only district in Connecticut with multiple schools that has every school named as a school of distinction.

“On Behalf of the Board, I wish to wholeheartedly thank our gifted administrators, teachers, instructional coaches, and support staff for all the hard work, talent, and dedication that goes into results like these,” Seth Klaskin, Board of Education Chairman, said. “The board is proud to support meaningful professional development and the district’s unique curriculum development process.”
