MADISON, CT — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Madison, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day of school at Madison Public Schools.

The first day of school for students in Madison is Aug. 30.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Madison.

Madison Public Schools will open for full in-person learning, with no remote learning option. Distance learning may be utilized during the year if infection levels or mandatory district-directed quarantines require it.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

First Day: Aug. 30

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26

Winter Break: Dec. 24-31

Spring Break: April 18-22

Last Day: June 14
