Banisch Garners GOP Endorsement For Another Term As 1st Selectman

Full slate of candidates nominated by Republican Town Committee

MADISON, CT - On Tuesday July 16th, 2019 the Madison Republican Town Committee unanimously endorsed Tom Banisch for re-election as First Selectman.

State Representative Noreen Kokoruda stepped forward to support First Selectman Tom Banischsaying: “Whether it’s putting up flags downtown for the parade or working at the gate at the beach– Tom is a hands on leader who cares deeply about our community. Through Tom’s current role as First Selectman, and various appointments prior, Madison has become one of the most desirable places to live in Connecticut.”

“As I travel around the state, I hear it all the time “You’re from Madison, You’re so lucky” What we have here in Madison is special – but it doesn’t happen by accident. It happens through fiscal discipline, hard work and close collaboration with residents. This is exactly what Tom, working with our boards and commissions, has been able to accomplish despite tough economic times in our state, it’s not luck” clarifies Amy Stefanowski, Chairman of the Madison Republican Town Committee.

The MRTC also unanimously endorsed the following slate of candidates for November 2019:
Board of Selectman – Erin Duques and Incumbent Bruce Wilson;
Board of Finance - Former Madison First Selectman Fillmore McPherson and Justin Murphy;
Board of Education – Incumbent Galen Cawley and Diane Vyce;
Zoning Board of Appeals – Incumbents Tom Kelty and Bill Piggott and Dennis Crowe as Alternate;
Board of Assessment Appeals – Incumbents Lynne Hubbard and Rich Robinson;
