Big Boom A Meteor? Yes It Was.
NBC-CT reports object crashed through roof of Wolcott home around the time of the big boom. Police checking to see if it was a meteor.

The other day we posted a story that said that big boom we all heard Friday night might have been related to the Lyrid Meteor Shower, which is taking place now and will run through April 26th.Â
NBC-CT is reporting that around 10 p.m. Friday night, right around the time the shoreline and even parts of Long Island heard a big boom, that a rock crashed through the roof of a Wolcott, CT home. Police are trying to determine if it is a meteorite.Â
"Larry Beck, of Williams Court in Wolcott, called police at 10:20 a.m. and said a rock crashed through the roof of his house on Friday night and damaged the roof and copper piping, and cracked the ceiling in his kitchen.That was around the time that people from several towns along the shoreline called police and reported a loud boom that rattled windows," NCB-CT reports.Â
