BOS Approve New Radio System for Madison EMS

The board approved a new comm system for Madison's EMS.

Madison, CT - Madison's EMS system will be getting an upgrade.

The Board of Selectmen approved the long awaited upgrade on June 27, according to The Madison Source.

The town will be buying new radio equipment from Motorola Solutions, Inc., The Source reports. The plan has been in the works for 14 years, according to The Source.

Back in January, public safety officials sought $1.8 million for the EMS system upgrade. This is part of the town's Capital Improvement Plan. Police Chief Jack Drumm told The Source that the outdated, emergency radio equipment is badly needed for the town.
