Cat Dies; But Family, Dogs, Lizard Safe In House Fire: Report
Madison firefighters battled a fire at a single-family home on New Road Thursday afternoon, Hearst Connecticut Media reported.
MADISON, CT — A family's cat died in a Thursday afternoon house fire that took firefighters about 20 minutes to extinguish, Hearst Connecticut Media reported.
No occupants of the single-family home were injured in the fire — which was reported at around 1:45 p.m. Thursday — and the family's two dogs and lizard were unharmed as well, Hearst reported.
Firefighters were on the scene until around 4 p.m., according to Hearst, and the Madison fire marshal's office is investigating the incident.
