Fatal Crash Investigated In Madison: UPDATE

MADISON, CT — A person was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Durham Road in Madison Tuesday morning, according to police. The road was temporarily closed in both directions while police investigated, but it has since been reopened.

The identity of the victim has not been released by Madison police, pending notification of next of kin.

According to authorities, the crash occurred at about 7:20 a.m. near 2115 Durham Road, and it is being investigated by Madison police and members of the South-Central Connecticut Accident Reconstruction Team.

Additional details were not disclosed.

"Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the Madison Police Department at (203) 245-6500," police wrote in a statement.
