Deadline Approaching To Apply For Rent Rebate Program In Madison

MADISON, CT — The deadline to apply for the Rent Rebate Program in Madison is Sept. 30, 2025, according to officials.

Under the initiative, eligible participants can receive one-time assistance annually that helps to offset rental expenses.

The 2024 maximum annual income for a single person is $45,200 and $55,100 for a couple.

To apply, a person must present documentation of 2024 income (income taxes if you file them), and payments made in 2024 for rent, heating, water bills, and electricity.

Applicants 65 and older should contact the Madison Senior Center at 203-245-5627, and applicants under the age of 65 should contact Madison Youth & Family Services at 203-245-5645.

Officials added that there is no longer a provision to request an extension of time to file due to medical conditions.
