Dorothy (Page) Cahill, 90 of Madison and Old Lyme passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born July 25, 1935 in Scranton PA to Jack and Edna (Jackson) Page. Dorothy is survived by her three devoted children; Gregory Cahill (Laurel) of Madison, Michael Cahill (Kelley) of Lyme and Cari Sweitzer (Kenneth) of Old Lyme along with eight grandchildren, who she adored; Paige Abbate (Tom), Nicole Cahill, Conor Cahill, Cara Cahill, Chloe Cahill, KC Sweitzer, Samuel Sweitzer, and Sloane Sweitzer and two great grandchildren; Thomas Abbate and Olivia Abbate.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 62 years, Maurice Cahill (2019).
She graduated from Shrewsbury High school in MA and attended the University of Massachusetts and Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. After her children had grown she worked as a real estate agent for Westwoods Realty in Guilford. She enjoyed books, knitting, and attending all sports activities of her eight grandchildren. She was a member of Madison Beach Club and First Congregational Church of Madison.

For the past few years, Mom faced dementia with grace and courage. We are deeply grateful to the staff at Mind Matters, the adult day program she attended, whose loving care brought her comfort, dignity, and joy.
All services are private and under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, CT.
