The Audubon Shop in Madison is providing a bird-watching opportunity at Hammonasset Beach State Park.

MADISON, CT – As birds migrate through Hammonasset Beach State Park, bird-watching enthusiasts can join Jerry and Co. for a Fall Migration Bird Walk at the state park.

The Fall Bird Walk at Hammonasset Beach State Park is set for Oct. 14 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event costs $6 per person and is cash only.

Types of birds migrating through the state park include hawks, eagles, owls, shorebirds, waterbirds and songbirds.

Participants will meet Jerry at The Audubon Shop, 907 Boston Post Rd., at 7:50 a.m., carpool to the park at 8 a.m., and return about 10:30 a.m.

Beginners are welcome, and no pre-registration is required. Binoculars are necessary.
