Girl Scout Troop 62086 asks state Rep. Noreen Kokoruda to amend anti-bullying bill to include investigative training for school staff.
The Girl Scouts in Madison Troop 62086 want the staff members of the state's public schools to get investigative training to help prevent school bullying.
So they took their case to the state Capitol recently, where they toured the Capital, attended a press conference and had a private meeting with state Rep. Noreen Kokoruda to ask her to amend the bill on school bullying to include investigative training for school staff.

Kokoruda said that she is going to send the new bill out and work hard to get it through for them. She said if it doesn't go through the first time then she will keep trying. She said if she can't get it through the she may have the girls come up to present it themselves to the representatives.
The Girl Scouts made anti-bullying posters and brought them to their meetings. Those posters are now on display at Brown School in Madison. The troop is also working with guidance counselors at Brown to encourage anti-bullying efforts amongst the students there.
