Habitat For Humanity Of Greater New Haven To Build Home In Madison

The project is at 24 Old Schoolhouse Road, according to officials.

MADISON, CT — Raise the Roof, the shoreline build organization within Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven, has steadily grown into a supportive community of volunteers from Branford, Guilford, Madison, Clinton, and Killingworth. For 21 years, they have helped families build and own Habitat homes within the Greater New Haven area. To date, the Raise the Roof community has sponsored and assisted in the construction of 22 houses, all located in New Haven. Now, with the donation of a building lot at 24 Old Schoolhouse Road in Madison, the organization is excited to return to its roots and continue the mission of building homes as a community. Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven offers a Homeownership Program for individuals and families to purchase affordable homes. Members of the Homeownership Program take classes to prepare for successful homeownership and learn about various housing programs and resources available in the area, including Habitat for Humanity homes.
