Leprechaun 5-miler Winners Announced

On a sunny, near warm morning on Sunday, March 24^th, 420 racers took off on their 5-Mile run along the shoreline of Long Island Sound as part of the Leprechaun 5-miler sponsored by the Exchange Club of Madison, CT.  With a mild wind and a noisy throng of supporters gathered at the Starting and Finish Lines at the Surf Club in Madison, it was without a doubt “a Great Race."

The powers behind Race Day this year were a twosome comprised of this year’s Exchange Club President, George Davis, and the Chairman of the Race Committee, Dennis Crowe. 

Additions to this year’s Race Day included an 8’ x 8’ Sponsor Board of all sponsors’ logos  draped over the fire-place in the Surf Club Registration area, a return to the 10 year award categories with the winners in each category earning a Leprechaun medallion as their award for performance, special Costume prizes (appropriately won by a Leprechaun runner), and a return to really good running weather for all to enjoy!

What was the same as always…were the wonderful 2 Mile Walk and Kid’s Fun Run.
