Madison Arts Barn Tapped as New Home for Youth Programs
The Beach and Recreation Department will be holding its fitness classes elsewhere.
Madison's Youth and Family Services activities are moving on up to the Arts Barn, the New Haven Register reports.
The Board of Selectmen opted to relocate the Beach and Recreation Department from the building after women's jazzercise classes began to conflict with the youth services events, the Register said.
First Selectman Fillmore McPherson said in the Register that the Arts Barn space will permit for larger and more diverse youth programs, and that there are many more athletic spaces available for fitness classes.
