Madison Businessman Says He Plans Primary for GOP Governor Spot

Stefanowski hasn't participated in GOP debates so far; instead he said he will skip GOP convention and try and force a primary

MADISON, CT - A Madison businessman running for governor is planning to skip the convention system and instead will attempt to garner enough signatures to force a Republican primary against whomever the party endorses.

Bob Stefanowski, who has not participated in any of the GOP debates for governor, said this on his Facebook page about his decision:

"Over the last six months, I met with hundreds of RTC members and am amazed with the dedication and commitment to rebuilding our state. In the coming months we will be collecting over 10,000 signatures from fired up Republicans all over Connecticut to qualify for the Republican Primary on August 14.

"Not only will this prove the broad based support for my platform, the field organization we have to achieve this goal will make us the most competitive candidate in the Primary and General Election!"
