Tuesday, the Connecticut Department of Education released the standardized test scores for every district in the state, and for Madison, the news is good.
In Madison, Connecticut Academic Performance Test scores were down slightly from last year, but the scores in general were all above the state averages. Many of the scores on the Connecticut Mastery Test also decreased from the previous year, but Madison student performances also exceeded state averages across the board.
Throughout the state, CAPT scores were up in Connecticut, while CMT scores were down.
The CAPT is given to 10th-grade students. The CMTs are given to students in grades three through eight. To see Madison's CMT performance results, search the table above.
